I know the picture says 10 things that require zero talent. But in my eyes and mind it’s really saying 10 things you need to fix.
This isn’t just to fix in regards to fitness or weight gain or weight loss. This is a list of things you need to fix for yourself, for your family, for your job, and just your overall well being.
This is really important list for those getting their first job or their first career or their first chance to prove themselves to someone.
So I will break down an explanation of why I think this list is very important to me.
Be on time - I have always lived on the idea that is your are on time you are late. It’s known as Lombardi time or Tonkin time or Coughlin time to many in the sports world but it’s just how I was raised. There is no reason you can’t be 5 minutes early to something. Especially work. Too many people think showing up at time of work is good enough.
Work ethic - Dont let anyone right? Why wouldn’t you want to be better than your coworkers. Why wouldn’t you want to do more than them? Why wouldn’t you want to improve everything about your office.
Effort - why put in a half ass day for yourself? Why not go all out? You only work 40 hours of your week. That’s nothing. You should put your all into those hours.
Energy - you woke up, you have life, you have a job, you have some money, you have the energy, and you have the ability to do more. Take advantage of that.
Body language - why would anyone want to hang with Debby downers? Y’all are annoying, unless something really bad happened, try and show some good body language , it always can get better.
Passion - show why you are there. No matter what or where that is. I always want to help people and build them up. I am a very positive person but I am also always looking to make you better. So no I’m not bringing you down, I’m trying to show you that you can do more.
Doing extra - be there to help someone. Be there to do more. Always ask what else you can do.
Being prepared - be business ready - stay business ready. You have to have a plan when you go in. You can’t wing stuff daily. You are setting yourself and others up for failure.
Being coachable - be willing to fail and be willing to take the lessons from friends, family, co workers , and your bosses. It’s the only way you can really grow.
Attitude - you may think your the best but you’re just a common worker. Show your potential with your attitude but be willing to keep that attitude in check when given a task. That is why yes mam and yes sir are still around. Attitude reflects leadership
I hope you enjoyed this!
