Don’t just workout to workout.

This post I screenshot the other day really hit home for me.
When I got into this real fitness journey two years ago. I was just working out to workout and not be over weight.
I found out quickly I really hated going to the gym compared to how I hated how I looked in the mirror.
I was just going to the gym.. going through the motions.. moving the weights.. doing the cardio.. and just hoping for the best you know?
However about 9 months ago.. I woke up and had a realization that I need to workout for myself and my goals and my improvement.
The hour or so in the gym is my me time. I don’t like to be bothered much. I like to go in there .. feel the weight moving.. feel the muscle growing... feel the cardio burning the fat.. and just going against myself.
I have a purpose in the gym now. Grow more, build more, improve my mind, improve my mental state, improve how I’ll look, and improve me.
When you are just going to the gym to go to the gym... it won’t last long. It’s the same thing as just eating a diet to say you are on a diet.
It’s more than just working out or more than just a diet
It’s a struggle. It’s a growth. It’s a daily challenge. It’s a discipline. It’s a lifestyle. It’s something 99% of people won’t get and so what?
Fitness is the vehicle for personal geek the in so many ways!
Use it to your advantage... don’t just do it to do it because you will end up hating it.
I hope you enjoyed this!
