How far do you think you can throw your scale?
You know the normal sized one you have sitting in your house.
The one usually sitting in the corner of the bathroom just waiting on you.
Don’t you dread that moment of walking over there?
Why do you dread it though?
Is it because you are worried about the number?
Is it because that number, no matter what it shows, you are going to hate it?
Why do you hate it though?
Usually because it hasn’t moved up or down as much as you thought it should have.
Why was it supposed to move though?
Do you think you’ve done enough to hit that goal you’ve really wanted to hit?
Was everything perfect the day and night before?
Diet, sleep, water, cardio, and training all the exact same it’s been for past couple days? Or did you slack on one or two of those things?
What in your mind told you it was suppose to move 1lb instead of 1oz.
Why isn’t 1oz progress? Is it because you are thinking long term and not daily.
What if I told you to go outside and throw your scale as far as you can and never look at it again?
Would you actually do that? Or would you be more scared to do that or more scared to not be able to weigh yourself daily?
Why do you weigh yourself daily? Does it make you feel better? Feel worse? Accountability? What reason do you really have to check that horrible number?
What if you were to find out that the number on that stupid device doesn’t reflect you or how you should feel?
That number has no reference on what you should think about your daily life or how you should train or eat or any of that. You lose .5oz of weight in fat/water/etc. but your diet has been on point and you’ve gained .5oz of muscle. Guess what the scale will show?
The same exact number it showed at the beginning of the weight, yet you’ve most likely have lost fat/weight and gained muscle and have slowly started to transform yourself.
Once you begin a happier relationship with your weight, your diet, and your training, you will not really care about what that scale has to say because in reality, the only person who cares about that number is you.
Stop worrying about the scale because that is not you or your number. How you look and how you feel is the real you and the real number you should care about.
So again I’ll ask a simple thing. How far do you think you can throw your scale?
Want to find out?
I hope you enjoyed.
