So what is NEAT and why do I push it on my clients so much?
NEAT is Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis.
So how can walking help fix your life and change your health journey ?
Let’s dive in.
The more NEAT you get in.. the more daily energy expenditure you are producing. It also regulates the energy expenditure you give off.
So when you are walking more.. you are increasing the calories burned throughout the day but also kicking up the metabolism in a dieting phase or a bulking
The more steps you take the more you can track. I recommend 7-10k steps a day. This allows you to see where you are each day.

The more food you lose in a dieting phase.. the “hungrier” you’ll get.. so walking helps cure that hunger and also can enhance the physique and make changes quicker.
You need to keep your steps consistent and then when you switch to a Dieting phase.. you want steps to go up because it will change your body.
When the calories go up.. you have more energy... house that to your advantage.
But not even just the steps will help change your life. You will enhance your circadian rhythm if you start in the morning. You get more vitamin D. You increase your testosterone and lower stress. Helps with progesterone.
So yes when you think walking isn’t good enough or someone tells you it’s not.. tell them to take some steps out of your way so you can change your life!
