Learn to lose gracefully

”Before I could ever learn to win in silence

This was a very powerful quote that Jeff Black shared with me yesterday on the podcast.

It made me realize that everything I have gone through to get me to this point ... was a loss and I took it with grace and the understanding that...

I could eventually say fuck you to everyone who doubted me.. whether it was in high school.. college.. post college... but doing so without having to say a single word.

I loved losing.. it made me try harder. It made me learn more. It made me go after more. It makes me a happier person. It makes the struggle all worth it.

Jeff explained that he lost... lost some more.. lost more after that.. And continued losing.. to where he wins daily now and the people who know him.. know who he is and the love in his heart.

That all resonated to me because I get a lot of flack for having my close group of people and not caring for fake people and trying to be friends with everyone.. but yet if we are friends... you know I am there for you 24/7.

I’ll continue to lose daily.. because I know that day I win... you’ll either be there to support me.. or you’ll keep talking about me.. that’s fine.
