And the reasons you probably are not seeing it....
I know it suck.. you think you are eating healthy... going to the gym everyday.. doing the cardio .. drinking the water... and you didn’t see progress in one day.. weird right... or maybe even in a week..
It’s fine more than likely .. however I wanted to lay out a list of reasons you may not be seeing actually progress even though you possibly could be.
This post was by Joellesamantha on IG but it’s closely related to what I posted a few weeks ago about just keep going and that I’ve been there.
I’ve tried just about every diet, supplement, workout, etc to see progress but until I settle with the idea that it was going to take time, I never saw the process I do now.
So here are some reasons you may not be seeing progress:
You are doing great doing great Monday-Friday... and for some reason say screw it on the weekend... you can’t do this.. it’s a balance
You are over eating... you might think that side salad is healthy but add in everything and you just added 750 more calories
You are not consistent enough. You think 60-70 percent is good enough. While this is better than 0... it still won’t get you to your goals.
You are not moving enough. Check sweatcoin or Apple health and if it shows less than 5K steps... get your steps up!
You have been in calories deficit for too long. You have to constantly go lower but you also have to bump it up occasionally. You can’t live at 800 calories.
You aren’t sleeping enough.. sleep is very important to your goals just as much as your body. Just put the phone down..
You aren’t tracking the extra things you have in addition to your meals. The taco seasoning ... the croutons .. the creamer.. etc
You only give a damn about that stupid scale... throw that thing away !!!!
You aren’t counting or monitoring the dressing you add to things... hot sauce or sriracha for the win!
You are way too trusting of the apps telling you how many calories you burnt and you are eating more back
You do not manage stress well... at all... learn to manage it by blocking everything out, put down the phone
You are not recovering at all.. learn to take deep Breathes and meditate ... increase that recovery and HRV
You are caring way too much about pointless cardio and not working out.. lift some amount of weight... way more beneficial.. also get off the treadmill and stop running....
Your metabolism hasn’t caught up to your new lifestyle. And your calories when you started are different than today’s..
Buy a food scale.. stop thinking all food is the same size and calories.. you are probably eating too much. The scale keeps your food accountable.
You are trying to lose weight and tone.. that doesn’t exist sorry.. just be content with losing the fat and the muscle will appear.
Just please be patient.. this isn’t easy.. trust me.. but it is worth it! Just keep going
I hope you enjoyed this!
