Stay grounded when feeling anxious

I get it anxiety will get the best of you at times. It will drive you insane when you think you can’t control your thoughts anymore.


You need to slow down the world for a few minutes and reflect on the good and what is around you.


Anxiety gets the best of everyone if they let it. You have to try and control it your best.


Once you let it consume you, it is very tough to get rid of it. This post is to show you a few ways you could potentially help get rid of it for that few seconds before it becomes too much.


The five rule to an anxiety attack is a good thing to have in your back pocket.


The process is:

  • look around you

  • Find (5) five things you can see

  • Four (4) things you can touch

  • Three (3) things you can hear

  • Two (2) things you can smell

  • One (1) thing you can taste


This process will allow you to feel grounded. It’s called the grounded process. It can help you feel calm and have control when you feel like you’ve lost everything and all control of your surroundings.
