Stress/gut/hormone with mental health

May is Mental Health month.


You’ll probably see me share a ton of things in regards to this because of how important it is to me.


However I wanted to dive into the fitness side of mental health and why what you are doing could be causing more problems.


The more stress responders you put on your body.. the worse your mental health could become.


So what are some stressors that you could be doing that cause problems: 1. Chronic dieting. 2. Over training. 3. Not sleeping. 4. Over consuming caffeine. 5. Not taking adaptogens (ashwaganda). 6. Not taking time yourself. 7. Not destressing at all. 8. Consuming alcohol. 9. Too much HIIT cardio.

So you as you can see.. a lot of us are causing stress on ourself.


How about gut health?


If you are not going to the bathroom.. you are not detoxing the estrogen in your body .. thus allowing it to stay in your body.


If you are having digestion problems .. you will become more stressed that you are bloated, puffy, not going to the bathroom, could have SIBO, or just not eating enough fiber/digestive enzymes to help the process.


So this is causing stress on the body.. leading to mental health problems.


Lastly hormones and the stress they cause.

If you are a male and have low testosterone.. good luck not hating everything. So what are you going to do to fix it? Instead of stressing more and not finding out what the problem is.. go get lab work. Go get on TRT. Improve your life with a simple change. Low T can lead to so many issues especially with sleep and mental health.


For females.. being estrogen dominant.. this is just like test for a male.. this will cause you to be stressed out of your mind.. cause you to lose a period.. not go to bathroom.. not sleep.. crush more caffeine which crushes your adrenals.
