So you had 6 plates of Christmas food over the weekend and a few pieces of pie... some cookies... some Christmas snacks.
You will be okay I promise.
You enjoyed a weekend of your life.
You didn’t set yourself up for failure.
You don’t have to go burn 1000 calories on the treadmill or stair master today.
You didn’t fail at your year long plan.
You actually enhanced your plan.
You now don’t really have a massive craving for a blow out day because there is not another holiday for awhile.
You now can focus on the changes you are going to make this upcoming week and year.
You balanced out the potential bad with the potential good that comes with enjoying the holiday food with your friends or family.
You should never restart a diet before a holiday and you should never be a prisoner to a diet in a holiday season.
Unless you are a wrestler or a competitor... enjoy the food. You aren’t going to gain anything real in a few days.
A real diet is a “forever” thing just like living life is.
Enjoy the slow progress and enjoy the foods. Trust me.. I did.
