I get asked a lot what the best diet or workout is...
In simple terms.. it’s the one you will enjoy and continue to do.
However, let breaks it down to 5 aspects that you should focus on when it comes to picking the “best diet” for you.
Your present physiological state. This is one you really need to focus on because if you are stressed or work is crazy or etc.. you can’t just hop right into a crazy strict diet such as keto or counting macros 24-7... it just won’t work. You don’t have the mind or time for that.
Your future physical goals. This is a big one. You have to lay out realistic goals in terms of your physical state. Yes I understand you want to lose all that weight.. but you can’t lose it fast because that could cause worse physical problems down the road.
Your lifestyle. If you care more about work or partying or your relationships or other.. a strict diet could be rough for you because you’ll pass up eating healthy to get to work earlier. You’ll pass up eating healthy cause your friends are going out. You’ll pass up eating healthy because your family or significant other isn’t going. Well turns out you don’t have to eat healthy... you can just eat smarter.
Your activity level. If you don’t go to the gym much.. you don’t move much.. you spend most of your day sitting... your caloric need will not be the same as Karen’s in the office.. stop comparing it.
Your ability to consistent with that eating style. If you absolutely hate your diet and the foods on it or how you have to eat... there is a 0% chance that you will continue to eat that diet. This is why smart trainers will fix a diet for you or give you plenty of options to eat.
As you can see.. it’s kinda laid out perfect. If you hit these 5 bullet points.. that is the best diet for you. So stop looking for a name or what your friends are eating and develop a plan.
