Why? Because?
Why are you constantly doing this? Why are you eating that? Why are you doing that? Why did to do it that way? Why are you learning that?
Why… Why … Why..? It is a constant beginning to a question that is usually followed up with an answer you are not look forward to from someone… then followed up with an answer or even possibly and excuse you are giving back that you really know you shouldn’t be giving but at the time you feel like it is the correct answer because that is how you feel.
Does it ever feel like you should be switching the why question to another word? Other words could be things like: How/Should/Could/Who/What/When.
These simple switches can change so much in your daily life and so much of your daily exercise/nutrition/overall outcome of life in my opinion.
When you switch the why to another one of these question related words, you are more likely to get an actual answer and an actual description of why or what that person is doing and what it does for you or your daily life or even how it can change your life.
How should I eat these/those carbs is guaranteed to get a better answer from someone who has a background or knowledge in personal training/nutrition/dietician than asking “Why are you eating that”
When you ask what can this cardio do for my overall health? Instead of “Why are you doing that cardio” You will find out a more balanced answer than someone probably answering you “to lose weight”
There is a favorite saying of mine “no ask, no get”. This really applies to the WHY/BECAUSE basis in my opinion though. If you do not ask the right questions you are not going to get the correct answers.
Many people are scared to start anything because they do not have the correct answers or paths to start that. However, the real problem is they are scared to ask the proper questions because they have not received the proper answers or education in relation to that.
You can see a massive example with something as simple as this. Them: “Why are you typing this, no one will read it?” Me: “Because I want to do it”
That could be the answer. However, what I am really trying to say or even going to say is something way better. My answer would be “I am typing this up because if it helps one person do more, be better, learn more, expand their daily performance, or even their daily knowledge. Then I did a good thing today and that is something I can move to tomorrow to continue this”.
I know this started out as workout/nutrition/lifestyle paper, but you can see, this applies to a little bit of everything. I am hoping to shed some light on what changing a few things can do for you. It is all about the balance of understanding what are you doing now and what you can change to enhance yourself.
It could be something as simple as realizing you go to sleep thirty minutes earlier to improve your daily work the next day. It is way better than saying I am going to sleep thirty minutes earlier because someone told me to.
Hope you enjoyed!
