Why you should Refeed or cheat

I always get asked at least one specific question when I start with a new client, “can I have a cheat meal?”.

Of course you can! Or you could even do a refeed day depending on goal or starting point or etc.

You can still be in caloric deficit and still enjoy a big meal or day on a Saturday.

The main problem is going to crazy on one day or not being in a caloric deficit throughout the week.

In the picture you can see the person is in a caloric deficit but yet ate a 1000 more calories than their maintenance calories on one day. This one day will not be a deterrent to your progress and will actually help you in the long run.

Do not worry about the weight gain the next day or two.. it’s basically fake weight.. it is not fat and you did not actually gain weight.

It will be all the extra calories, the extra water, the extra sodium, etc

Enjoy the cheat meal or the refeed day. On my weekly day I eat 2170 calories... however on a Saturday I will eat 3700 yet I still lose weight or maintain weight throughout the week.

Plus have you experienced more carbs:calories or a giant burger and fry after dieting all week.. it might be the greatest gift.

So yes be good 6 days a week.. doesn’t have to be perfect just be good.. then enjoy one meal or more carbs on a Saturday with friends or whatever

I hope you enjoyed this!
